I have been awarded a 2026 Getty Library Research Grant in support of my dissertation! The grant will support archival research at the Getty Research Institute, where I will work with collections including The Kitchen Archive, the Carolee Schneemann papers, the Allan Kaprow papers, Futurist holdings, and more.

Elected AMS Student Chapter Representative to Council

I am excited to announce that I have been elected Student Chapter Representative to Council for the American Musicological Society Mid-Atlantic Chapter! Following the chapter’s recent revitalization, I’m grateful to be part of the team supporting its renewal and growth. I look forward to working with colleagues across the region to foster community and programming for musicologists and students!

For(u)m: Re-forming Value, Re-valuing Form in Music Studies

I am chairing and lead organizing the graduate conference, For(u)m, to be held February 13-14, 2026 in the Kislak Center for Special Collections at University of Pennsylvania. The conference invites proposals from graduate students across disciplines to critically examine the intersection of form and value in music, sound, and performance.

Published “Listening to Deafman Glance” in Robert Wilson Yearbook Vol. 1

I’m delighted to share that my article “Listening to Deafman Glance: Multisensorial Listening and d/Deafness in the Silent Opera, Television Production and Gallery Video Installation” has just been published in the inaugural issue (Vol. 1, No. 1) of the Robert Wilson Yearbook, a new annual journal from the Martin E.
